In Shores, reflection operates on both a literal and symbolic plane. The boats, quietly suspended on the water’s surface, cast gentle echoes of themselves below—distorted yet tenderly faithful. These mirrored forms become more than visual phenomena; they suggest an inner dimension, a space where external stillness invites inward contemplation. The vast expanse of blue functions like a mind at rest, open and receptive, while the boats represent moments, memories, or selves gently doubled in reflection. Through the transparency and fluidity of acrylic ink, I explore how identity, presence and perception blur and shimmer, never fixed, always becoming.
