I wanted this one to feel cool and crystalline—almost like it’s made of ice instead of sugar. Using colored pencils, I focused on capturing those sharp contrasts and the way the light fractures across the twisted plastic. The wrapper gave me these crisp, angular highlights that almost draw themselves if you pay enough attention. I liked how the blue brought a kind of clarity to the form—it’s artificial, yes, but there’s beauty in how precise and glossy it is. Up close, it starts to feel more like a little glass object than a piece of candy.
