The sea impacts the human psyche because it reflects its structure. Like the mind, it possesses surface calm and hidden turbulence, clarity and opacity, safety and threat. To swim in the sea is to acknowledge this complexity: to accept the fragility of control, the inevitability of uncertainty and the possibility of transcendence. In this way, the sea is not only a physical landscape but also a psychic one, a vast and inexhaustible mirror in which humanity recognizes both its origins and its limits.
